Pedro Mexia (Portugal)

Born in 1972 in Lisbon. He is a literary critic and columnist for the weekly newspaper Expresso, as well as co-host of a current affairs television program and a podcast about literature, music, and cinema. He serves as a cultural consultant to the President of the Republic of Portugal. He has published five volumes of diaries, eight books of poetry, anthologized in Poemas Escolhidos (Tinta-da-china, 2018), and eight collections of chronicles. His second-to-last collection, Lá Fora (Tinta-da-china, 2018), won the Grand Prize for Chronicle awarded by the Portuguese Writers' Association. He is the co-director of Granta in the Portuguese language and oversees the poetry collection at Tinta-da-china.
