Temporary exhibitions

At Casa Fernando Pessoa there is a space for temporary exhibitions.

This space, integrated in the route of the long term exhibition, is on the second floor, dedicated to Fernando Pessoa's Private Library. Right next to the room where the books belonging to Fernando Pessoa are located, the temporary exhibition room can host exhibitions related to Fernando Pessoa, in dialogue with literary texts, motivated by his reading.

This space has hosted, among other exhibitions, Queering the Museum - queer books in Fernando Pessoa's library, curated by André Murraças, theatre director, playwright and researcher of Portuguese LGBTQ+ heritage.

Nowadays, on display (27 NOV'25 To 6 DEC'26) is the exhibition The Eternal Ark: Fernando Pessoa and Posterity, curated by Antonio Sáez Delgado and Design and Installation by Ilhas Studio, showing how Pessoa's continued to influence the world after 1935, the year of his death.
