Najwan Darwish (Palestine)

Born in Jerusalem, Palestine, in 1978. He has published nine books of poetry. His poetry has been translated into more than twenty languages. He has received several international awards, including the Cilento International Poetry Prize (Italy, 2023) and the Grand Prix de Poésie Étrangère (France, 2024). He is co-founder and consultant of several Palestinian and Arab cultural projects and literary festivals. Since 2014, he has been editor-in-chief of Culture at the newspaper Al Araby Al Jadeed (London). His first anthology in Portuguese was published in 2024: A boy from Haifa spins the word – and other Palestinian poems, translated by Thiago Ponce de Moraes (Urutau).
