Maria Sequeira Mendes

Born in Portalegre in 1977. She is a lecturer at the Faculty of Letters of the University of Lisbon. She was a Beaufort visiting scholar at St John's College, University of Cambridge, in 2017. She wrote O Essencial sobre Hamlet (ICM, 2023), The Ordeals of Interpretation (IUC, 2020), O Desensino da Arte (with Marta Cordeiro and Marisa Falcon, Documenta, 2022), and co-edits the poetry and criticism website Jogos Florais and co-edited the book Florilégio (não edições, 2023).
