The first edition

Finally, in 1982, almost half a century after Fernando Pessoa’s death, Ática published the first official edition, titled Book of Disquiet by Bernardo Soares, with organization and preface by Jacinto do Prado Coelho. The collection and transcription of the texts was made by Maria Aliete Galhoz (who had already collaborated with Jorge de Sena) and Teresa Sobral Cunha.

Now, in 2022, we celebrate the 40th anniversary of this first edition of the Book of Disquiet.
