Echoes from the Collection – The Anarchist Banker by Mário Botas
Tuesday to Sunday, 10.00–18.00
The exhibition is part of Casa Fernando Pessoa's tour
On display from 7 July 2026 to 18 October 2026
The Casa Fernando Pessoa preserves more than just memories: it houses a unique art collection, bringing together notable figures from the 1950s onwards, including works from various exhibitions held at the Casa since 1993.
In this programme, the collection emerges from the museum storage room and comes to life, inviting visitors to discover each work through the eyes of writers, critics and art historians, amongst others. It is a moment where words meet art. This term, we will be looking at O Banqueiro Anarquista by Mário Botas, a physician by training and a visual artist, whose body of work includes paintings, drawings and illustrations.
